Dear AWANA Parents:
Rodger Liu got his uniform today. The children learned God’s Word from large group lessons and learned how to encourage each other on the games. There is no usual AWANA next Friday night because it will be Good Friday. Our church has a special Good Friday program, starting at 7:30 pm, to memorize what Jesus did on the cross. The AWANA gathering will be resumed on April 26.

Special Note to Parents: I know at times this can seem like a lot for a child to complete each week. I’d encourage you to simply work with them on the next section on their book, although that may not correlate with the lesson leaders will give for Cubbies and T&T. The goal is that kids learn and understand God’s Word and how it connects to real life, not badges or awards. That being said, we know many kids really enjoy earning the awards and we want to support those who are pushing hard to hit those milestones. What listed above is simply a suggested pacing for those who want to finish their book before the end of the year. If some of the kids are off schedule and falling behind and willing to finish more, please encourage and support them (please refer to my e-mail sent to you on 9-16-18). If you have any question, especially those who join and/or moved up the club recently, please don’t hesitate to contact me, the clubber directors and the leaders (the co-worker list has been sent to you at the beginning of the year).
